Using private browsing window, website is www.pixiv.net

Upon loggin in, was shoved with a site updated notification. Then was shoved another notification when viewing multiple images in an album. While there are no more notifications while using current page, opening a new tab and the 2 same notifications kept appearing.

Did not have this problem at firefox 56.1, only appeared at firefox 68.3esr and suspected firefox 59++

The website does not have the settings to turn off such notifications.

Hello nickle33,

Would you give this a try please : When you're on that site, click on the padlock (left side of the address bar) and then click on the little black arrow ("<big>></big>") next to "Connection secure". Next click on "More Information".

Under the Permissions tab, scroll down to "Send Notifications"; uncheck "Use Default" and check "Block".

Then refresh the page.

Does that work ?

What kind of notifications are that ?

Can you attach a screenshot ?

Firefox version 72.0 was just released.

See what's new in the release notes

Especially where it says :

"Firefox replaces annoying notification request pop-ups with a more delightful experience, by default for all users. The pop-ups no longer interrupt your browsing, in its place, a speech bubble will appear in the address bar when you interact with the site. "

It appears that it's already blocked, would seem like it's the website's notifications rather than firefox's.

Attached 2 images, 1st image appears upon login or new tab, 2nd image appears when expanding multi image albums (circled in red). Both kept appearing upon new tabs in private browsing, using the F12 element disabler freezes the webpage scrolling because genius website configurations.

Did not have this problem at firefox 56.1 private browsing, so it's that localstorage thingy again?
