Printing Issues Since New U pdate

more options

Since Firefox's new update, when I try to print a page to fit on a regular 8.5 x 11 page, regardless what printer I choose or even what paper size I choose, the Scaling does not include items outside the margin of something Scaled at 100%. Instead, it just reduces what I see at 100% instead of including items outside the margins of 100%. If I choose larger page size, like 11x17, and select Fit to Page Width it will work better (not perfect). However, that's not what I want. Before, I could Scale something to 70%, let's say, and it would print everything I needed on a Landscape 8.5 x 11 page. Now, the Scaling will reduce what I saw at 100%, but it won't include anything outside of the margins of a 100% Scale to include items outside that margin. I know it sounds confusing, but if you play with it, you will see what I mean.

Is anyone else having this issue, and if so, were you able to resolve it? If yes, please explain how. If not, I think Firefox should fix this printing issue.

Hi lori20, yes, sorry, there is a bug in Firefox 90 with all scaled printing. Whether you change the scale manually (for example, reduce 100% to 70%) or use Fit to page width/Shrink to fit, in either case, content is truncated.

Depending on the page, you could switch to Landscape mode and see whether it will fit without scaling.

Work is underway to fix this new problem, but we don't have any information on when that might roll out in an update. The problem was acknowledged in the release notes for Yesterday's update as an open issue.
