Website keeps refreshing with flash set to 'Ask to Activate' - Version 26.0
Upgraded to v26.0 and now when I open the site http://www.dcpages.com/ wuth teh flash payer set to 'Ask to Activate' the page continually refreshes. THis was not a problem with v 25.0. I also have a second machine running Windows 7 (64 bit) and it shows the same symptoms.

For possible future reference, this is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista and higher)

I can't replicate that. In fact, I haven't found a page yet that uses Flash on that site. ??
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Are you running the Flash Block extension on both Firefoxes? In case there is some kind of conflict that has suddenly arisen in Firefox 26, could you try disabling it? You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions.
I couldn't see the flash. The Windows 7 PC is infected with Informationgetter.com that is riding on flash, which is why I run in the mode I do. I also had problems with flash crashing on the Vista machine so I run that way there, also. I tried disabling Flash Blocker, no joy. My W7 PC has apache and mysql on it and I first noticed the issue with a local clone of the site there. I would test there but the machine is in the middle of a Kaspersky Rescue Scan and I don't want to stop it. Late last night it was at 41% complete with 5 hours to go and now it is at 84% with 5 hours to go. It is the Polar Express of scans. I won't bug you with the malware as it also affects Chrome.

Finally finished the scan and cleaned out a few issues. Still no joy so I uninstalled flash and reinstalled it and now things are better (no more information getter).
My work involves cleaning infected sites and sometimes, I am the one who discovers the infection. I know there is no flash on teh dcpages site, I built it, years ago, but it is mine so the problem was curious to me. Seems someone infected flash on my pc and it survived many updates.
