There is no reason you should not be able to use Firefox to download Chrome or the open source Chromium.
- What website page are you using ?
(The page that contains & displays the download link) - What is the actual download link ?
- Please say what security related and filtering software is in use on your computer.
- Is this your own computer and set up by yourself ?
(Or provide and set-up by someone else e.g. employer, or parents.)

My own computer and set-up by myself
After a break, I attempted download again, and fortunately it worked. Therefore, I truly do not know what was wrong last time.
After installing Chrome, I looked at my mail and found both these replies to which I am responding now.
Thanks.
