Print preview was working fine on the old computer but on the new one, it always causes Firefox to crash. This happens whether I use the separate "print preview" command in the drop-down file menu, or use the print button in the toolbar that automatically opens in preview. Both the old and new computers use Windows 7 as the operating system. Other programs can do a print preview just fine, so it's not likely to be the printer or printer driver. Is there a fix?

That is a problem with a component of your Trend Micro security software for Firefox (TmBpFfCore.dll).

Your System Detail list shows Trend Micro extensions installed, so you can try to disable those.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to reset the print prefs on the about:config page.

The printer is fine. Firefox will PRINT just fine. However I cannot do a "print preview" -- it always causes Firefox to crash.

Other programs do not have this problem, and I did not have it on the computer I just replaced (both using Windows 7).

In safe mode, print preview works.

However, turning off hardware acceleration does not fix it, I'm already using the default theme, and none of the extensions is causing the problem -- when I disable all of them, or disable them individually, print preview still crashes firefox.

What else can I test?
