The pop-up window that asks to save passwords did not pop-up. How do I manually save a password for a site?

I logged on to my school web-site, which I have never had problems before saving passwords, and the first time I did it on my new PC, the pop-up window asked if I wanted to save my password; I clicked yes and good. Except that it never saved my password and I have to put it in manually, and the pop-up does not "pop" back up. Is there a way I can save my log in information manually?
