Hi, I would say they are lost. The correct way to make a shortcut would have been go to C:\Programs Files and then find firefox.exe and create a short cut then cut and paste it to the Desktop. For other programs pinned do the same if going to. Since you seem to know where to find the Profiles please check the dates on these : *bookmarks and history: places.sqlite *permissions.sqlite for Permissions and possibly content-prefs.sqlite for other website specific data (Site Preferences) If all the same as the folders then they are gone.
