All of a sudden after my upgrade to Mac OS Catalina, my messages in Thunderbird are not highlighted in bold as they used to be. Any fix for this, or is Thunderbird aware of this and coming out with an update?

Thank you, but there is no solution in that thread

The solution is to install TB 68 from the link provided in my post in that thread:

https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/68.1.1/mac/

Thank you, it worked!

I am trying this solution, but I'm given the option of .dmg or .pkg, both same date and time - apologies I'm only an average techie. Which one should I go for? Many thanks.

They are two forms of installers, and in this case there is no essential difference. The latest version can always be downloaded here, and for OS X the link is to a .dmg file.
