After creating Hyperlink, what do I need to do to turn off underlining i.e, no further hyperlinking?

This appears to be a documented bug. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1474983
I believe a way around this would be creating the hyperlink after you're done typing the line by highlighting the text you want to be hyperlinked, or creating the hyperlink, then selecting the text you don't want to be hyperlinked, and going to format>remove links, where it will only remove the links from the highlighted text.
Not a great solution, but it's one solution. Hopefully the bug gets addressed.
Format/Discontinue Link (Ctrl+Shift+K).
