How can keyboard users stop bookmarks menu auto closing after launching a bookmark in a new tab?
Hello, I am a keyboard user. I am wondering if there is a way to prevent the bookmarks menu from auto-closing after I open a bookmark in a new tab?
I have already tried setting "browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu" to FALSE, but this seems to only work for mouse-users, who can then ctrl+click a bookmark and it will open in a new tab while leaving the menu open where it was.
Is there an equivalent setting for keyboard users? So you can press ctrl+enter on a bookmark with similar results? Or perhaps a different key combination other than ctrl+enter, for which the bookmarks menu won't auto-close?
Thanks.

It seens that the answer is no, this functionality only works with the mouse.
However, I have discovered a workaround which I'll leave here in case other keyboard users want to be able to open multiple bookmarks from the menu without it closing between each opening.
Note your KB will need to have a Menu / Application key (typically found between the right Windows key and the right Ctrl key).
1. Press alt+D to focus the address bar (the following might not work if other things are in focus.
2. Open the Bookmarks Menu (alt + B) and navigate to a bookmark as usual.
3. Rather than pressing ctrl+enter, instead Press the Menu button then choose "Open in a New Tab" in the resulting context menu.
The website should now open in a new tab, but leaving the Bookmarks menu open where it was, ready for you to choose the next bookmark.
