How to view rented video on Youtube
Youtube rented video does not play after purchased. "Licensing error message" after hitting play button. Firefox 95.0b12 is supposed to work. Have latest updates... why won't it work? Seems Firefox/Modzilla not going to fix ongoing issue with rented Youtube/Netflix video rental problem. Is there a fix? Linux user.

Looks like you are using a beta version. Are you also having the problem using the normal Firefox?
Make sure you are not blocking content.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Followed all previous suggested Support, cannot seem to find fixes that included DRM, Safemode switch, etc.
Regarding DRM, Firefox uses a Widevine plugin that it downloads when you enable DRM or encounter a DRM-protected video for the first time. More info in this article: Watch DRM content on Firefox.
Note that if you are installing from your distro's package manager/repository, the features and default settings may differ from the ones described in the support articles on this site, which cover the builds of Firefox available from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/.
Also, difference between running "normal and beta", please explain, and how to know "differences?"
The current stable release is Firefox 95. The beta release is a test version that is one version ahead, so probably would be Firefox 96. Your browser identified itself as Firefox 79, which is an old version that is no longer supported. Sometimes browsers misidentify themselves, so you are in the best position to figure out what version you are actually running. You can find that on the Troubleshooting Information page. See: Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues (first table on the page).
Note that your old Firefox/79.0 may not support the current Widevine version (4.10.2391.0).
Make sure you have the latest Widevine version (4.10.2391.0) as that is the only version supported by the Widevinelicense server..
- Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins
You can toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.
