Hello all,

I'm having an issue with my FF browser and opening tabs. When I hold ctrl and left click on a video, it opens the video in a new tab (which I want) but it opens the tab twice. This doesn't happen on every site I visit. I opened FF in troubleshoot (safe) mode and this issue still occurred. I thought that maybe its the mouse on my laptop but I opened Chrome and didn't have this issue at all. Is there anyway to fix this? It isn't a huge problem, just a major inconvenience that I'd rather not have to deal with. Thanks in advance.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
