Hi,

I have an Acer Chromebook. I just downloaded the Firefox browser so I could use the Stardoll website. It's not really available through Chrome because you need the launcher to play now and it's doens't work with Chrome. I tried to download the launcher with Firefox but when I try to open the download, it just says 'no app found to open exe file.' I also tried to download the Flash add-on and it says the same thing. My laptop is on a Chrome OS. Will I be able to fix this problem?

TIA

Firefox is only available for (desktop) Windows, macOS, and Linux and mobile versions for Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad). https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/118.0/system-requirements/

Since you mentioned .exe it sounds like you are trying to install a Firefox setup .exe meant for Windows on ChromeOS.

Firefox is not really made with ChromeOS in mind however you may have two options. You can either try using the Android version or you can install the Linux version if your hardware and OS version has this option.

NPAPI Plugins like Flash, Java, Quicktime, Silverlight etc is no longer supported in desktop Firefox and especially with Android Firefox (Adobe dropped Android in 2012?).

Pretty much every website is using HTML5 players for video, audio and games now days which also makes for more cross platform compared to the more limited support with Adobe Flash.
