Suddenly coming up with blank pages and inability to load anything properly. Deleted and reloading not helpful either. Explorer is unaffected.

Everything else appears to work within the program but no pages even try to load. Just a white blank. When reloaded, even deleted and on a new program, the 'this is embarrasing' box comes up and also draws a blank. I shall run another security scan and see what happens. In the meantime, can you think of any fixes?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Thank you for the advice, which I have followed. I have got it back now due to restoring the computer after deleting ALL firefox files. I'll see if the firewall route changes anything.
