I used to use the Cache Viewer add-on, but that stopped working. I tried using the Cache Viewer2 add-on, but that didn't work either.

Normally when you open the about:cache page, you see three categories of possible cache storage: memory, disk, and appcache. Then you may see a link under each for a slow-loading page that lists the actual cache entries. Is that all missing for you? Or is the link not working?

Note: I'm viewing this in Firefox 33, which may have changed a little bit from Firefox 32, but I think the rough outlines are the same.

Another thought: are you using a private browsing window? If you start up with a regular window, then your private windows have a white-mask-on-purple-tab icon near the upper right corner of the window title bar. If you start up automatically in private browsing mode then the mask icon is not displayed.

You can check whether you are using automatic private browsing here:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy

If the tab says "Firefox will: Never remember history" then automatic private browsing is in effect. To turn it off, change the drop-down to "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" and then uncheck the box for "Always use private browsing mode".

The current Firefox releases 32 and later use a new cache service named Cache2. This change will cause extensions that use the old cache service to stop working and its developer needs to update the extension. You can check the Add-ons website to see if there is already a version available that is possibly not approved yet.

If an extension in no longer working properly then its developer needs to release an update to fix this. So your best option is to contact the developer of the cache viewer extension that you use.
