Installed newest Firefox yesterday - now, before laoding a page fully, the whole webpage flashes once, then loads. Why? Never did before
Installed newest Firefox yesterday. Everything worked fine - but now I not that when I change web pages, the whole web browser flashes once, and instantaneously, the web page loads. Everything is correct, no crash, but this blinking before loading is distracting as can be. What happened, and why has this just started? Never did this in any previous version. Only other thing I loaded yesterday was the latest Java update.

Hello lptemple, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration.
You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Click the menu button and select Options on Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
- Select the Advanced panel and then the General tab.
- Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Thank you.
So - my browser was already set to use hardware acceleration when available. It worked fine up until yesterday, when i updated to the latest Firefox. I have opened and closed Firefox a dozen times today for various reasons - no change. As long as it doesn't crash, it's just an annoyance. Doesn't look like anything I can control - all the drivers are current as of yesterday's complete update across the board.
