How to instantly stop a page from loading?

Hi,

Whenever I want to stop a page from loading and click the "stop loading" button (cross in the address bar) or press the ESC key, the page keeps loading some content for a while, that can be minutes for a slow computer. Sometimes, the content I'm interested in is already displayed, but stopping the loading will lead to a blank page instead of just not load more content and letting the page as it was displayed.

I would like to know if there is a way to stop the page from loading anything, and to stay exactly the way it is displayed.

Thanks for your help, and have a nice day.

I believe most websites work on a basis of being loaded or not loaded. 0% or 100% Depending on the site or quickness of how fast you catch that stop loading icon. The site will remain white screened. Otherwise the site will be loaded fully.
