When is Firefox reinstating tab groups?
Firefox discontinued tab groups, relegating support for tab groups to a plugin. But then Firefox Quantum was forcibly installed, breaking support for the plugin. Tab groups are an essential feature! When are you going to reinstate support or add a working plugin?

Devs are still working on the TabHiding API so the full functionality will be back the next year.

You should try to get Firefox to Update to 57.0.1 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version

TabHiding API is done and there's plenty of extensions doing Tab Groups.

I've just discovered that Simple Tab Groups now has fast group switching (don't reload all tabs), which solves it's main fault.
I'll check the others as well.
Is TabHiding API something only devs would use to develop new features, or can I use it directly as a (non-dev) user?

WebExtension APIs are interfaces that addon devs may use. It's only for addons.
