I don't know about that but I use an extension for enhancing youtube options and maybe that's why I never noticed it.

Hi, Please look at the screen shots and explain why firefox can't do what Edge can? I mean youtube has a dark theme future. Well, I don't know but after checking your photos I checked out the option and it was there for me -attached photo.

You could try resetting Firefox
