What extension are you talking about? You might be better off asking its support.

Talk to the developer.

The extension in its manifest has this permission:

   "permissions": [
   [...]
   "*://*/*",
   "<all_urls>"
 ],

He should enumerate only steam website urls instead of "*://*/*", "<all_urls>".
