I just went from using MaxThon (MX5) to using Firefox again, 9 or 10 hours ago. youtube and facebook-videos have worked fine untill now. And it also seems that my whole computer laggs whenever I try to listen to music or watch some kind of video. I have tried to re-install Adobe flash player both on my pc and on firefox but nothing seems to work. Both the sound and the video laggs to the point where its not possible to watch or listen. Anybody got an idea of what the problem might be?

FF end user forum help doesn't provide help with MaxThon (MX5) or how it does what it does or any problems it causes for FF Browser. You should contact MaxThon (MX5) support as to why it is causing the problem.

I never had any problems with MX at all during the years Ive used it. I was fan of FF before, but then the video started just like now so I thought: never mind. Maybe I should go back to MX5, at least it works without problems =P

I'm used the latest FF60.0.2x64 and have no issues with yutubbers...even viewing at 1080HD video and full screen.

To be Checked and turned off unless needed for accessibility : Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Please run some tests while : Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

Please note that Win10 can and will change any and all of your drivers to Microsoft's. That being said, please search for Device Manager and check Video and sound. I have had Microsoft replace my sound drivers 5mins after I updated them.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
