Remove saved passwords on my 2 gmail accounts in Firefox
I missed hitting "Don't Save Password" unintentionally when I was opening my personal gmail account in Firefox. Now it shows up every time & I don't want it too. Firefox support gives directions for eliminating passwords foe websites, but not for my own gmail account. I tried erasing it, then putting it in, it came up the next rime again. I tried the wrong password to see if it would make me correct it, that didn't work either.

Hi, clear your cache and delete cookies for the site. Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar and Enter Forms and Passwords, remove any saved passwords and go into Exceptions and see if there also. You can then also add it as never to remember.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Pkshadow, thanks for answering my question, however, Evelyn had this daughter in 1950, & I have no clue what you are telling me. I'm 99.17% certain that your definition of cache & cookies have absolutely nothing to do with old pirate tales & chocolate chips. if you can break it down step by step with explanations, I'm fairly good at following directions. If that takes too much of your time, it's okay. I'll find directions on changing the passwords.
Again, thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to answer me.

Not sure what I'm supposed to put in this blank
1) Copy/Paste or Type : about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar and Enter
2) Delete cookies for a single site which you know the name of
4) Delete Cache (which is stuff you visit and holds 350megs so pages load faster, which gets copied over with other stuff sometimes)
5) Go here to see where the password/site is you forgot to say no to.
Will also give you something to learn so you do not loose bookmarks and passwords and stuff, backup.

So I hope this is down to something you can follow. :=}
Only if you clicked "Save Password" then Firefox would have stored this password in the Password Manager. If you didn't click any button then nothing happens and Firefox will ask again the next time. If you click Never then a block exception is created and Firefox will no longer ask to save or update a stored password (existing saved passwords are not affected/removed).
Do you see these passwords or their user names offered in a drop-down list?
You can use these steps to remove saved items from an autocomplete drop-down list.
- click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- highlight an entry in the drop-down list with cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key - press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry
Note that hovering with the mouse no longer works.
