How does one access a"Post" button on blog web sites?

more options

I am interested in connecting to a blog site which has buttons called "Post" or "Comment" to be able to send/receive messages on the site or at least read messages from the blog owner. I found that the blog must set up RSS feeds to enable users to log in.

How do I set up in Firefox to access these sites? Nicholas

Hi Nicholas, RSS feeds are files that list recent posts or recent comments. I don't think you would need one of those to log in as an author to create a post.

Blog comments can either be hosted locally on that server, or they can be hosted through an external service such as Disqus or Facebook. Can you see a comment form at the bottom of an existing post that you want to reply to, or anyone else's comments? It might help to copy/paste a link to the page where the comments section is missing or not working.

To create a new post, you usually need to be preapproved as an author on the site. Is the blog on a big site like Blogger or WordPress, or is it something custom to a particular server? Just wondering whether you could easily find the login link/instructions through a web search, or whether you might need to submit a support request.
