Thunderbird was working fine with retrieving e-mails from my Spectrum Road Runner account until early this week. Thunderbird now asks me for my password for the Road Runner account, which I have repeatedly entered but all log-in attempts have failed. Tried everything I know of and still cannot connect.

You not mention if using POP or IMAP nor which Road Runner account nor what server settings you are using.

Brighthouse.com, bak.rr.com, bham.rr.com, cfl.rr.com, emore.rr.com, eufala.rr.com, indy.rr.com, mi.rr.com, panhandle.rr.com, tampabay.rr.com

TWC.com and any domain ending in .rr.com not covered above (Is this is you?) If yes:

  Incoming Email Server: mail.twc.com
  Outgoing Email Server: mail.twc.com

IMAP is the preferred method that spectrum would like to to use. But if you currently have a POP account, you cannot simply swap over the server settings - this would require creating a new existing mail account as IMAP. The incoming mail server: mail.twc.com Incoming server port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: Normal Password User name : email address

But if you use POP and want to keep using POP,: POP The incoming mail server: mail.twc.com Incoming server port:110. Connection Security:None Authentication Method: Normal Password User name : email address

If server settings are ok, then remove the password stored in Thunderbird, both incoming and outgoing smtp. Restart Thunderbird and enter the same password you use to access webmail account.
