I have TB set up with the email list in the left pane and the contents of the selected email in the right pane. My page setting are set to portrait. If I right click on an email in the left pane list and print from there it prints portrait. But if I print from the right pane's menu it prints landscape. I know I can change it in the print dialog but I always forget to do that. How can I get the right pane to default to printing portrait? Thanks.

I have a three pane view... folders, mail list and then email... either below or to the right. Which of those are you talking about as I do not see a way to use Thunderbird without being able to select folders.

I'm talking about the right pane that displays the email.

Have you checked the page setting in the windows printers panel? My guess is it is not set to portrait.
