When updating my password on certain websites, Firefox does not offer the option to generate a secure password. Is there anyway to force Firefox to create one anyway?

Is it a problem with the coding of the website? If so what?

I think that this option is only available if you create a new login and not for updating an existing login.

I turned it off because I was updating my Amazon password and it was putting in a generated password. It was interesting that it only happened with Amazon.

Yes. The feature is working fine on almost all websites. It just doesn't on certain websites. It's like Firefox doesn't detect that the field is a password field and therefore should offer to generate a password.

The feature works when you update passwords as well. I've been on a bit of a binge lately updating all of my insecure passwords and the feature has worked on almost every site.
