So, I have finally decided to jump ship. Chrome has lately been downloading stuff in background and I can't figure out what it is, despite having done all kinds of troubleshooting.

I have been trying to customize the FF homepage, but it is TRULY not user friendly.

I need to: Pin websites to the homepage Prevent my history from appearing there Remove those pesky shortcuts THAT ARE TOTALLY AN INVASION Hide addons from toolbar, but have them accessible in a neat shortcut instead of a thousand steps to find them again

I have already changed the row to one, but this is not a solution! There seem to be no way to pin a website as a shortcut on the homepage unless it's manually writing the title and then the URL.

Can someone recommend me an addon similar to Chrome's Youtube Normalizer. This app is a GODSEND! Sadly the dev didn't reply nor accept a request for a FF port. This app normalizes all audio on youtube. It prevents audio volume mismatch when playing a mixed playlist. It also automagically increases volume to sound less silent and more inline with system volume. IT IS TRULY ONE of two things (Typio) that makes me want to go back to Chrome.

Changes made manually on the Firefox Home page are stored in prefs that you can find on the about:config page.

You can possibly edit the JSON data of this pref and add your own label (title) and url keys. Entries that have a null value will be filled by Firefox. You can pin a few websites to see how it works.

This is how firefox says to do homepage. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page By default install firefox has no homepage it's just a black background with standard default installs. So not really clear what your talking about manage homepage when firefox has no homepage default when installed.

Have you even looked through that how-to-set-the-home-page article? as it shows Firefox homepage set as "Firefox Home (default)" and if you use the Home toolbar icon it will open a page the will show your "Shortcuts "Sites you save or visit" "Recent activity: A selection of recent sites and content" and Pocket in which you can toggle these on/off with the Gear icon on top right of page.

If you get a blank page then you are either not using the Home toolbar button or have your Homepage set as Blank Page if you are using the Home button. And you have New Tabs set as Blank Page instead of Firefox Home.
