OK I am not sure this is a Firefox issue but my g-mail account is sending composed messages to the TRASH folder. I have been using Proton Mail and have a number of email address depending on who I am emailing

Tried a few changes to my g-mail account disabled IMAP and POP that did not work I have a number of blocked email address did not delete these

This issue is solved but I found something unique the spammers are doing They preface their email address with my g-mail address so when I block them I am blocking my email address as well as their email address

I looked at my blocked email address and found this format on one entry my g-mail address then "OR" and the spammers email address as a blocked entry

Suggestion Log in to G-mail Select Settings upper right then select See All Settings then select Filters and Blocked Address DO a Ctrl F and search for your email address it may be entered multiple times JUST delete these entries

That is nasty behaviour. I'm glad you found it.
