Links that open in new tab show about:blank instead

Since the last update (123.4) I have this behavior in both iPadOS and iOS: when there's a link that opens in a new tab, most of the time the new tab will open an about:blank page instead of the actual link.

I noticed this happens as I use the browser more: if I force close it and reopen it, the links will usually load OK for the first 1-4 sites, but after a period (or loading a "heavy" site la Facebook) I can reproduce the error 90% of the time.

Happens on iPad Air 3 and iPhone 13 mini.

Here's a screen recording of this behavior: https://share.icloud.com/photos/0289O_mRO-taFjm4tcOH3bAtQ
