Using Windows 7 OS, AVG antivirus, how can I copy & paste from Firefox into the Microsoft Works Word Processor - I get the error message "Microsft Works encountered a problem and must close.."

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== any time I tried to to paste - it is a consistent glitch

Hi Kathie.

Can you copy from Firefox into other software, like notepad, for instances?

If you can, maybe it's not a problem with Firefox itself... In any case, if you can paste into notepad, you can copy from Firefox into notepad, and then from notepad into word, until this problem is solved.

Try to use Edit > Paste Special in Works.

It's not your browser because I use Google chrome and I have the exact same problem except it doesn't give any warning, it just closes.

No - I finally called Dell - I can only use "copy-paste special-unformatted text" this will not copy illustrations - to do that:I have to use Paint, edit the image down, save, THEN paste into my document... Not an optimum solution, IMHOP !
