I recently found that while accessing the url below which force you to a malicious .zip file hxxp://www.duboselaw.com/BP/Update_on_Gulf_of_Mexico_Oil_Spill_Response.zip Using firefox browser the AV software was not able to detect the virus but the sam on the IE AV was able to detect the virus. Is this a bug.


This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Hello Lekshmanan.

Don't open files that contain malicious content. That link is not a webpage, but a file, as you can notice by the extension in the URL.

I am not sure how accurate your report is about the virus detection. By default, all downloads are scanned by the installed antivirus (if any) before they are stored/opened.
