When I try to open certain pages in firefox in Ubuntu, they don't load at all. It happened for firefox 3.6 in Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) and also in Ubuntu 10.04(lucid). Below is one example of such a site. But, when i open the same page from Firefox 3.6 on Windows platform (Windows Xp or Windows 7), it opens easily in a flash. Why is this so

No problems for me on Ubuntu 10.04, same version of Firefox. It seems not to be a general issue on Linux, therefore it have to be a problem with your Firefox setup. Please try the some of the steps explained here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites#Error_loading..., especially clearing your cache.

I use the Firefox Version that came in built with the Lucid CD. and, funny as it may seem, firefox can't open the Mozilla web site as well.
