Firefox just auto upgraded to 3.6.6 and now it cannot access http://localhost:8888 I've never had this problem in the past. Offline mode has no affect (off or on) however, if I turn off my wireless I can access my local development site. I need to be able to access the internet while accessing my local site though so this is not a practical option. I know there is nothing wrong with the site because I can access it with another browser (Safari) without any issues. The error I am receiving when I try to access the localhost site tells me that Firefox is accessing my LAN and looking for localhost (why, I don't know) because it is being generated by the LAN server.

You should have no problems accessing this page unless you are using some proxy of some sort.

No proxy. Nothing changed aside from the auto upgrade to 3.6.6 which is why I suspect Firefox.

Maybe I'll try reinstalling Firefox...? I noticed yesterday that I have this problem on one computer (in my office) running Firefox 3.6.6 but not on my computer at home running the same version? Both computers are running the same OS and have the exact same plugins etc. installed in Firefox. Unexplainable....
