I downloaded the free program jzip onto my pc. Now when i start up firefox I get the jzip search page as my home page. I have removed the jzip programme from my system and tried to reset my home page to my regular page. As soon as I close Firefox and then restart it I get the jzip serch page again (http://search.jzip.com)

How do i get rid of it, permanently?

Uninstall jZip via the Control Panel.

If you want to keep the program then do a custom install and make sure that you do not install browser components.

Reset all jZip related prefs on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for jZip via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.
You can reset all jZip related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.
