Firefox 6.0, 6.01, and 6.02 are incompatible with Java Console and Kaspersky URL Advisor. I switched to Firefox because it was supposed to be more secure!! Why don't you guys pull it together and fix this?! & I had no choice but to upgrade each time. I would be grateful if you could take care of this ASAP! and I could not submit to the "I am sad" section, or the feedback section. Come one.

Sorry I do not know the latest about Kaspersky, but is the problem that some of Kaspersky ancillary features do not work, rather than the core product ?

The kaspersky URL advisor is possibly similar to Firefox's standard anti phishing facilities see http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/phishing-protection/

As for Java Console, exactly what do you find is incompatible, and what is it that you use Java Console for ? (are you able to give an example of an application or site that appears to be a problem because of Java Console)

Thanks John99.

You're right. The problem is not with Kaspersky's core product. In Firefox, it's an extension. It probably is to do with anti phishing. Nice to hear the Firefox has something similar in place.

Extensions shows that Java Console and Kaspersky's URL Advisor are disabled. This is the definition I found for the Java Console. It's over my head. I haven't noticed any issues since it has been disabled, I just noticed that it has been. My biggest concern was the url advisor. Thanks for your help. Definition: Java Console is a simple debugging aid that redirects any System.out and System.err to the console window. It is available for applets running with Java Plug-in and applications running with Java Web Start.

I would not worry about Java Console, it is probably not important to you. What usually is important is the ability for the browser itself to enable use of Javascripts, that is usually turned on.

Javascript is enabled from

As a demonstration try disabling it and then replying to a question on this forum, the icons for formatting tools will disappear from above where you are typing. Re-enable javascript and they will return.
