Whenever I close Firefox and restart it, it does not save my tabs, despite in Tools --> Options --> General "When Firefox starts show my windows from last time" is selected. Please advise!

It is always better to use File > Exit to avoid problems with plugins and extensions that aren't closing properly. If it works with File > Exit, but not if you click the close X on the title bar then check for hanging Firefox or plugin-container processes.

See "Hang at exit":

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox.

I'm going to regularly close Firefox, there are rare incidents where the problem does not occur. I disabled all the Java plugins, FoxyProxy Standard and PremiumPlay Codec.

I'll see if the problem remains nonexistant. I would assume that the reasoning of the lack of tab restoration is related to Java, for I doubt the Codec or the FoxyProxy (something I installed a few days ago) are the cause of this issue, but I have the Codec for longer than this issue existed, and it hadn't updated in a while. The issue began in Firefox 7, so it somehow might be related to the Codec being compatible, yet possibly not fully, with Firefox 7.

I'll wait and see, and then I'll post if the issue is resolved or not.
