First, update to Firefox 14 if you haven't already (check by reading Update Firefox to the latest release).

Then, , Reset Firefox by doing the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I have the same problem with Firefox 14.0.1 and 15.0.1 The reset procedure you described doesn't help, but it did allow me the privilege of wasting hours re-installing extensions and resetting dozens of options. Thank you very much.

I have isolated the following: If I link to my eBay page via a desktop or CMD batch file shortcut, clicking on the javascript link for tracking information (as well as similar links) does nothing but display "javascript:;" at the bottom left of the window. However, if I refresh the page by clicking "Reload", or navigate to the page via the History tab, clicking the same javascript link for tracking information WORKS!!!

Hopefully, this additional information will allow Mozilla to actually fix the bug, rather than providing time-wasting update-to-latest-buggy-version, reinstall or reset-to-factory-defaults advice.
