everytime I open firefox and am online from 2-5 min, it crashes. when I use internet explorer it doesn't do that, therefore I know it is something wrong with firefox. I have uninstalled it and installed it all over again. it has gotten a tad better, but being a college student, I cant use it anymore if it keeps crashing. PLEASE FIX THIS OR I WILL DELETE AND NEVER USE IT AGAIN! I used to love firefox, and refused to use anything else, but this is very inconvenient and annoying

hello, unfortunately there is a crash that is appearing in firefox 19 on windows 8 with AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphics cards - developers are investigating the causes of it...

the beta version of firefox is reportedly not affected by this issue, so you might want to consider switching to that (at least for the moment): https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/

another option is to downgrade to the to the former version - the auto-update in firefox 18 for the affected systems is now disabled and will be turned back on when a fix is available: Install an older version of Firefox ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/18.0.2/win32/
