On a public computer, no download to desktp, how do I get Firefox on my thimb drive?
I recently had to switch to Firefox in order to access my e-mail with ATT.net but Firefox has been corrupted and will not load. I am unable to get online to get another download because I deleted Explorer, it was useless to me. Now I have no browser at all and cannot access anything online. The only computer I can access is at the public library and I cannot download to their desktop and copy. Can I download directly to a thumb drive or get a hard copy somewher or am I just SOL? No disks came with my computer either so I do not have any other access to Explorer or any other browser.

Sorry, I was wrong. The computer here at the library will not allow any downloads at all. This is what I have done. I copied IE from a work computer and could not install it due to the administrator blocks. Now I cannot get it off because of the administrator blocks! Nothing works. I had someone put both IE and Firefox on a thumb drive for me and neither works. Firefox loads but when I click on it the little wheel spins for a few seconds and then nothing. The version showed as an update so I know it is a recent version. I am considering taking the computer and paying for a debugging!! Thanks for the help & suggestion, sorry my info was flawed! Thanks again!

Try with Firefox portable
Did you try starting Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you start it. In the dialog that appears, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).
Any difference?
IE probably remains on your computer even if you removed its icon and any updated version. Try:
Start > search box: iexplore {ENTER}
If you download Firefox on the library PC, use the "all versions" page, which is linked under the big green button as the "Systems & Languages" page. Then you can be sure of getting the full installer rather than the "stub" installer which still has to download the full installer.
I am at the library again, sorry for the late reply! I will try the safe mode option as soon as I get home. The computer here does not allow downloads of any kind so the question is not really valid, I guess. Thanks for the option, I will let you know if it works, praying it does! Thanks!

Tried safe mode but it never started. Still cannot get the Firefox program to start. I am going to take the computer to someone and have them debug it. Thanks for the advice - wish it had worked!
