i cannt install erail.in. note is"erail pluginfor firefox could not be installed because firefox cannot modify the needed file". what should i do now

Where is it you are going to on that site ?

I see information such as sub leasing rolling stock rather than consumer enquiries. If I could find it I would be able to check on how it is installed.

The usual method of installing add-ons changed in I think it was Firefox 4. Related posts

You usually get this error if you try to install an extension that needs to be unpacked to work properly.
Current Firefox version do not unpack an extension automatically, but rename the xpi file to the extension's GUID.

An extension that needs to be unpacked should have an unpack flag in its install.rdf file 

<em:unpack>true</em:unpack>

You can try to set the extensions.alwaysUnpack pref to true on the about:config page.

The extension seems to install, but I haven't tested if it works.
