When I try and delete an email get the message "The folder Trash is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages, delete any old or unwanted mail and compact the folder." What I then do is move the message to trash which works. I have removed large number of email from trash so there should be room.

Also - this may be related or not so I'll ask twice. Thunderbird taken 15-20 seconds to start up

Vald lösning

File menu (Alt+F) > compact folders

Probably a good Idea to right click the trash first and select empty.

And it may well be related to your slow start up as you have a 4Gb trash file your anti virus is probably struggling to scan.
