Why doesn't my Print Box show the Print Frame options? They are not there at all. I am using Firefox 32.0.3 which I believe is the latest version.

Chosen solution

It used to be there all the time, but sometime in the recent past Print Frames disappeared from that "native print dialog" box when the page doesn't have Frames. Probably coincided with one of the many HTML5 features that have been added or tweaked.

The Print button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list opens the Print Preview window. You can click the Print button in the Print Preview window or use the Print item in the File menu (File > Print) or use the Ctrl+P shortcut to have access to the print selection item and other print setup options.

  • Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar.
  • Use "View > Toolbars > [X] Menu Bar" to have the menu bar visible permanently.

Does the page use Frames?

Open this Frames Test Page. Right click to see if you see the This Frame menu item and the sub-menu items. http://www.draac.com/framestest.html

Sorry, this doesn't help as I was using Print from the File Menu to bring up the Print Box......I often select just some page or "selection" from the print box so I am quite familiar with it. Thanks anyway.

Thanks the-edmeister, I clicked on the link you provided & opened the print box from the file menu. Print Frames then appeared in the print box :) I tested several web pages when looking for "print frames" option earlier, but maybe none of those pages had frames ?? I expected the "Print Frames" option would be in the print box all the time & just be greyed out when that option wasn't available. Should it be?
