Create Two Profile in Firefox and Use Firefox SYNC in Both the Profiles.

  • One for LAN and another for Direct Connection

So your settings, webpages, bookmark, history, saved passwords etc.. everything can access in both the proflle.

See Creating a profile:

How do I set up Firefox Sync?

You can access two profiles at a time using a single firefox- Addon

Also, have you checked the Add-ons site to see whether anyone has posted a connection manager-type extension?
