Why do ONLY SOME of my e-mails get rejected

more options

This is the rejection message I receive. "This is the mail system at host know-smtprelay-7-imp. I am sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. The message is attached below. The remote mail system said: For explanation visit http://postmaster.1and1.com/en/error-messages?ip=80.0.253.71"

It initially happened last week on this e-mail address "roy@tovey.biz" (+ others). I even got roy to e-mail me and then "replied" but it was still rejected.

My ISP is Virginmedia. If I log in to Virgin media and use the e-mail to send the same message it does not get rejected. I've contacted Viginmedia and they have checked everything they can and say it appears top be a Thunderbird anomaly.

It's very weird. Any ideas?

Usually an error message has a code number assigned eg: 4.5.1 You do not mention the code number. What was it?

I haven't been able to identify a code number. Here's the rest of what I received.
