I have synced my 2 laptops, but there are no logos beside my bookmarks on the new list. How do I get them there?

more options

After using the sync feature to sync my two laptops' add-ons, preferences, BOOKMARKS, etc., I have small blank squares beside all of my bookmarks in the new PC, but none of the logos that appear next to bookmarks on my old PC. The old one ( that I DO still use on occasion ) is running Windows 7, and the new one; Windows 8.1., Just in case that information needs to be included here.

How do I get the corresponding logos to appear next to the bookmarks on the new PC, instead of just blank squares?

Do you see the FavIcon Reloader extension on the about:addons page?

  • Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

You can find "Reload Favorites Icons" in the Bookmarks menu. FavIcon Reloader: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/faviconreloader/

The favicons for bookmarks aren't synchronized via the Sync service. They should appear after you use each bookmark. Or you can use this extension to load them all. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/faviconreloader/

Thank you for your help. But there is still some kind of problem. I go to the link you gave me, click on "add to firefox", then "install now", "restart now", then I get a temporary black screen, just like the normal restart look, then right back to the "add to Firefox" in add-ons. It's like going in circles, and I'm lost. Do you have any suggestions?

I did find the favicon add-on in the about:addons page, but I had already downloaded it from the Firefox apps page, clicking "add to Firefox". I see the add-on in my add-ons list, it is enabled, I have even restarted my PC, but it's nowhere to be found in my bookmarks menu, nor any other bookmark category. Although it says I have it installed, I cannot locate the thing , and make it work.
