Per the latest 7/21/2015 update, where is the + in the message pane? The message pane is taking up too much real estate.

I like the very compact message pane. In the latest update 7/21/2015, the "+" is gone and the message pane is taking up too much space. I'm willing to change mail readers away from Thunderbird.

Please put the ultra compact/one line "+" back a.s.a.p. I have tried ALL of the Tools and Menus to do this already.

The + and - come from an add on that you installed at sometime called Compact Headers. That add on needs to be updated to work with the new version of Thunderbird. Go to the add on page and search for Compact Headers. There is a new version that works with Thunderbird versions 37 to 40.

FYI: The people answering questions here are users much like yourself and really do not care what email client that you use. Making a threat to stop using free software is not much of a threat.
