Hello,

I would like Firefox to NEVER show the "Remember password" message. This is shown below the Key icon, to the left of the navigation bar. I tried different History configurations. Even if I enable and uncheck the "Security -> Remember passwords for sites" check box, the message is still shown after authentications.

I would really appreciate a specific answer.

Chosen solution

Hello all,

Thank you for being prompt with your answers.

My problem was that I was making the configurations for the default Firefox profile, while I actually needed them to be in place for another Firefox profile.

Regards.

Hello

I'm really sorry for this issue. The steps you have taken should fix the issue.

I note you are using FF 37. I'll suggest you Update Firefox to the latest release and disable this option again

Kindly report back if you'll still have this issue.

Michael.

Hello,

Actually, I need a step-by-step solution that I can try and see that it works. What I tried had no results so far :)

The Firefox version shouldn't be a problem. I was surprised to encounter this behavior even for version 25 and 27 ...

Thank you for your reply.

hello again

That's alright. We can walk through it together

  • Click the menu button, click help and select About Firefox.
  • The About Firefox window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates and downloading them automatically.
  • When the updates are ready to be installed, click Restart Firefox to Update.
  • Uncheck the "Security -> Remember passwords for sites" check box

Please post back after this

Hi again,

I see you point now, but I have to use a constant version (like 25 and 27).

Regards.

If you want to use a "constant version", how about using the Extended Support Release version which gets security fixes / updates but no new features, until the next new ESR version.
