Can I create a group of canned responses to paste in to emails

I need a way to create several canned email responses that I can later select from easily when creating an email, will this application provide that option? If so can you show me how its done? Something similar to what Gmail has with a drop down list of email responses that I can chose from that then populates the email.

Chosen solution

I use the Clippings add-on. Some users speak highly of QuickText. Both allow prepared text to be pasted in. Clippings supports a dialogue to prompt the user to customise the pasted text.
