This has been an issue for me for quite awhile. After closing out of customize menu, none of the bookmarks on the bookmark bar function. A small dot appears to the lower left of each bookmark when clicking. In addition the bookmarks that extend past the toolbar, usually via a downward arrow, are inaccessible. A restart makes it functional again.

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Select All of the tests. Then press Execute on the bottom.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
