When I try to download email, I get a message that the folder inbox is full and can't hold any more messages even after I have deleted hundreds of messages

I can not download new email. I get message "the folder inbox is full and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages delete any old or unwanted mail and compact folder." I have deleted old and unwanted mail and compacted folder, but still get the same message whenever I try to download messages. Please help.

Try this:

Move all good emails out of Inbox into other suitable folders for organising and storage. Delete any emails you do not want.

when Inbox is empty: Right click on Inbox and select 'Compact'

Right click on 'Junk' and select 'Empty Junk' Right click on 'Junk' and select 'Compact'

Right click on 'Deleted/Trash' and select 'Empty Deleted' Right click on 'Deleted/Trash' and select 'Compact'
